The Story

A Primary Bath Nobody Wanted to Start Their Day In.

The homeowners had been living with a small, dark shower, a soaking tub that never got used, dated builder-grade vanities, and lighting that made the whole room feel like an afterthought. Taylor and Ryan stepped in to rebuild the space around the two things it was missing most: light and function.

Client Must Haves

Bright modern bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower, gray tile walls, and a light wood vanity. Inset niche and white bathtub shown on the left.

A Shower Built to Let the Light In

The old shower was small and boxed-in. The new walk-in shower with glass enclosures was sized and finished specifically to bring more natural light into the room.

A Tub Made for Actually Unwinding

The original tub rarely got used. Reworking it into a more functional soaking tub gave the homeowners a space they could genuinely relax in, not just walk past.

Lighting That Finally Works for the Room

Poor lighting was one of the homeowners’ biggest frustrations with the old bathroom. New fixtures were built into the plan to brighten the space throughout the day.

A Vanity That Replaced the Builder-Grade Original

The dated, builder-grade vanity was swapped for one built to match the rest of the refreshed room.

More Project Features.

Floating Shelves

Built-in floating shelves replaced closed storage, giving the homeowners an open spot for towels and everyday essentials without adding bulk to the room.

Bright New Flooring

The dated original floor was replaced throughout, tying the rest of the remodel together with a finish that matches the room’s brighter, more updated feel.

Bench Seating in the Shower

A built-in bench was added inside the new walk-in shower, giving the space a spot to sit and unwind rather than just rinse off.

01

Before.

The primary bathroom hadn’t been touched since the home was built. The shower was small and closed-in, the tub sat mostly unused, the vanities were dated and builder-grade, and the lighting left the whole room feeling dim no matter the time of day.

02

What we saw.

The space was scanned on an iPad using Render, then brought into Chief Architect to build an accurate 3D layout. The real problem wasn’t square footage, it was how little of the room’s light and function the old layout actually used, a shower boxed in with no natural light, a tub that didn’t serve the way they actually wanted to relax, and finishes doing nothing for either.

03

What we proposed.

A larger walk-in shower with glass enclosures replaced the closed-in stall, chosen specifically to let more light move through the room. The tub was reworked into a more functional soaking tub built for actually unwinding, and both the lighting and the vanity were rebuilt from the ground up.

04

What we designed.

Layout options were discussed and refined, materials were selected, and renderings were delivered once selections were finalized, the same point in the process where the investment range becomes a fixed number. The homeowners saw the finished room, glass, tile, fixtures, and all, before a single wall came down.

05

What they live in now.

A bathroom that finally does what a primary bath is supposed to do. What was once a room to get in and out of as fast as possible is now a space the homeowners actually want to spend time in, brighter, more functional, and built for unwinding instead of rushing through.

The Result

A Primary Bath They Actually Want to Spend Time In.

Dark and dated gave way to bright and functional. The homeowners went from avoiding their own bathroom to genuinely relaxing in it, with a shower built for light, a tub built for actually unwinding, and finishes that finally match how they wanted the room to feel.

Your Questions, Answered

Design Questions Homeowners Ask us.

Most of our clients ask some version of these. If yours isn’t here, call or book a discovery call, we’re happy to talk before you’re ready.

Do we see the design before we commit to a price?

Yes. Layout options, 3D renderings, and material selections are all reviewed with you before you sign, so you see the finished room before you commit to the investment.

Primary and master bathroom remodels typically run four to eight weeks, depending on layout, materials, and finishes.

The space is scanned on an iPad and built into an accurate 3D layout, materials and finishes are selected with our trade partners, and renderings are delivered along with a final investment number before construction starts.

We treat your home as a home, not a job site. Zip-wall systems seal off the work area, floors and surfaces are protected before anything starts, and the crew cleans up at the end of every day, so the rest of the house stays yours to live in while we work.

Every bathroom we build comes with a two-year warranty on our installations, plus the manufacturer’s warranties on the products and materials we use.
